The National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea preamble states” The Filipino youth recognize our duty to uphold the territorial integrity of the State, cognizant to the importance of the West Philippine Sea to our national progress, and to establish a Movement that shall embody our collective ideals and objectives as follows:

Declaration of Principles and Objectives
1. To assert the position of the Filipino youth that fully recognizes the indisputable sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of  the Philippines over its claims in the West Philippine Sea in conformity with the international law.

2. To instill the values of patriotism to the Filipino youth as well as to rekindle their national spirit.

3. To effectively educate the youth on the West Philippine Sea and raise awareness on its socioeconomic and political importance to the nation.

4. To enable the youth to participate in activities that shall protect the marine resources in the West Philippine Sea as well as to protect the rights and welfare of other sectors in the West Philippine Sea such as those in Pag-Asa Island and other Kalayaan Group of Islands, Palawan and the Scarborough Shoal or Bajo de Masinloc, Masinloc, Zambalez.”

The National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea has twenty chapters in the Philippines, USA, UK, EUROPE, ASIA, Middle East,  Africa, Canada, Australia, American Samoa and the CNMI.

“The Global Funding Sources, Inc. in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, volunteered to help execute the NYMWPS proposal and will be developing Kalayaan Islands and Scarborough Shoal to do land development, if applicable,  intended for Ecotourism in a unique cost-effective method.

Macasaet added, Ecotourism to tour the entire islands including all Water Craft sports for the residents and boats racing festival to invite all tourists and compete in some areas in and out of the Philippines is indeed feasible.
Further, this will foster goodwill among our neighboring nations, establish the rationale and motivation behind the Global Funding Sources, Inc. which plans a new innovation of recreational and tourism haven, a complex of modern recreational facilities and accommodations, both indoor and outdoor with inherent amenities for all types of sports of the sea and land shores conceived to even establish endurable socio-economic and physical links among our people with the rest of the world.

Pag-Asa Island will be declared as the Business Center of Kalayaan Municipality with all manufacturing facilities comprising of 37-hectares land area. With this project, Global Funding Sources, Inc. will be contributing in its humble way to the attainment of the government’s goal to diversify the Philippine tour offerings and to disperse the benefits of tourism in the Kalayaan Islands and Scarborough Shoal aside from enjoying owner’s privileges in general club rates for the utilization of rented recreational and service facilities, living quarters, meals, transportation, etc., which shall be minimal compared to commercial first class hotels, restaurants and recreational complexes in any part of the world.

The letter to Pres. Aquino states,” As the Founder and Global chairperson of the National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea (NYMWPS), the youth arm and network of the U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance (USPGG), I was approached by a Filipino-American businessman with a desire to help in the development of the Kalayaan Islands Group in Palawan.

In this regard, on behalf of the NYMWPS, I would like to respectfully recognize and endorse the proposal with regard to the development of Kalayaan Islands and Scarborough Shoal prepared by Engr. Nick Macasaet, wherein he is the Deputy Global Chairman for NYMWPS  and NYMWPS Las Vegas chapter chairman. Further, Engr. Macasaet has the expertise in securing funds for the said proposal.

The officers of the National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea (NYMWPS) unanimously voted during the special meeting on April 2, 2016 to propose to his Excellency President Benigno C. Aquino to make Kalayaan Islands and Scarborough Shoal as Free Trade Zones. The Global Funding Sources, Inc., a duly registered corporation in Las Vegas has voluntarily offered to help in the planning and securing funds to carry out the projects in the locations mentioned above.

The seat of the municipality of Kalayaan (Pagasa) lies beyond the Philippine EEZ, approximately 231 nautical miles away from the nearest basepoint in the province of Palawan located in Tarumpitao Pt., Rizal, Palawan (9˚ 2’ 5.47” N 117˚ 37’ 38.88” E based on RA 9522). Together with Pag-asa Island beyond the EEZ lie three (3) adjacent Philippine occupied islands, namely: Parola, Kota and Panata islands. Within the EEZ, only five (5) features are currently occupied by Philippines, namely: Likas island, Lawak island, Patag island, Ayungin shoal and Rizal Reef.

“ We are hoping that our proposal submitted to the government for the better lives of the people in Kalayaan Islands and our fisherfolks will be implemented. It will help improve the economy of the Philippines in addition to strengthening our territorial rights and claims in the West Philippine Sea”, Lamkin added.
